I’d like to see a version of this where you do some guerilla gardening, e.g. put down some flower seeds and come back to the spot when they’ve bloomed and see if it has inspired some other change…
The only outcome that may be for certain is that flowers will grow? I guess I’m just saying I wouldn’t decide to alter the place where they choose to stand…
Oh yeah. Sit awhile. Refresh. Maybe conversate. Move on. 🙂 I can’t help thinking about the broken chair however. Shuckie darn! Is it possible that the last person sitting in it couldn’t agree to disagree?
Do you live in Gainesville? Or passing through? I lived there for 6 years while working on M.A. and Ph.D.

I work there! And I received my PhD from UF. When were you there?

I have no idea what the outcome would be, but I suspect it would be positive.

But you’re already altering it by bring aware of it, observing it and documenting it, as demonstrated by the double slit experiment…

Interesting photo again. Maybe the city could be inspired to place a bench and bin.

I’m doubtful, mainly because every now and then I see the police pull around and ask them to leave; it’s illegal to beg for money here.

I don’t think they even mind that it’s broken, but it does make you wonder what happened or if it was inherited broken.

I agree with Judy, it is quite touching. There’s also a big part of me that wants to collect the plastic bottles & put them in the recycling bin! x

lol I suppose it’s instinct to recycle. Thanks for the comment.

We humans–left behind on humankind’s march forward to prosperity–become as disposable as our plastic bottles and chairs.

Absolutely! This photo does speak volumes about what we tend to discard.

There’s a story to be told about that chair. Touching image, Katherin!

Thanks Judy! This is a corner where people alternate holding signs 🙏🏾

I hope they recycle those bottles under the chair!
