Sadly, no. I live in St. Louis. But we make it down to your area at least twice a year. Sometimes we go to Marco Island, but we like Sanibel the best (on the off-season, of course…..the on-season is much more crowded and expensive!) You’re lucky to live there!!!
Thanks Debbie! I actually didn’t study it at all. I just point and capture images of what looks beautiful/intriguing to me, and it usually turns out pretty good lol
Wonderful, something about the image speaks of community and appreciation of nature – they may be dismissed as ‘hippy values’, but we’re surely due another Summer of Love.
I agree. I don’t know where you live, but here in Florida, it’s pretty common to gather on the pier (in whatever beach town you reside) and watch the sunset. Another phenomenon I’ve discovered is watching the moon rise (to what looks to be) over the ocean. It’s pretty magnificent and yes, all of those people standing there appreciating nature is pretty cool.
Gorgeous – my idea of a perfect evening! 🔆

What a gorgeous photo! We visit Sanibel Island as often as we can, and never miss a sunset when we’re there!

Lovely! Sunsets never get old.
But why is almost everyone standing? Time to go?

Nooo…the opposite. People gather to watch the sunset. Then, they go about their business.

Ah, that’s a lovely tradition. We’re not by the sea – maybe I could persuade people into a hilltop version…
