and I guess the cross to bear is even if the neighbor shows no love or hostility without knowing who you are: lumping everyone of you in the same group by virtue of looks or gender: this is where being an intelligent human comes in. And of course, knowing when to smile, shrug, and walk away. Thanks for the post.
Yes. I think it’s important to be discerning, always; however, we human beings have turned discernment into stereotyping, generalizing, and then creating hurtful situations where there should be none. All we have to do is love one another…not BE in love with one another lol
This one might be my favorite of the wall thus far. I really like the arbitrary interference on privacy one; and the fact that there is an explicit reference to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights – which is a heavily slept on document. Powerful images!
Totally agree Darryl! It was mine too Darryl. In fact, that’s what I posted to IG. I might find out what this building once was and why they felt comfortable posting these posters all across it.
So true Mek! I’ve spent the last two weeks saying these words, “Huh?” “I just don’t understand why they don’t understand.” “How come they don’t see…oh, never mind.”
Very inspiring and interesting wall. I think the quote ‘love thy neighbor as thyself’ is one of my favorites. No, wait…I watched the three photographs again…I can’t pick a favorite. Love the whole wall.
Thanks for sharing Katherin, again inspiring and motivating 🙂

The messages on this wall are so obvious yet somehow so many people and institutions fail to GET it.

I think so too Patty! This end part is actually my favorite section. You’re welcome and thanks to you for always supporting!

Love the statement this gorgeous wall makes, esp in the face of a different kind of wall with a completely opposite meaning.

YES! It only dawned on me this morning that I could’ve expressed the irony of this wall with the president’s idea of a wall…great minds 😉
