Poem inspired by this image to be posted sometime today! Provided I have the photographer’s permission to use? It is for non- commercial purposes (although I won’t refuse if someone wants to pay for my words, in which case you’d be rightly compensated).😊
Woot! I love poems inspired by my images. In fact, I have a draft about such inspirations. Side note: I got your email. Just put my laptop down for a rest. I’ll reply soon
Yay! 😊 ok- was written while I was cooling down on my spin bike! If you have a larger pic file than what’s on your blog- could you email please? Otherwise I’ll download from here. Thanks 😄
They’re actually a kind of heron. The cattle egret gets its name from some kind of relationship it has with cattle- I decided to stop procrastinating and didn’t read further.
They really are very pretty and diverse. The first few pictures were white and then I saw two similar to the one you posted and then even brown ones. There are some with what look like mohawks. Well I got my education for the day 😉
That is wonderful 🙂

Yeah, I thought so too! I think it might be an Osprey, but I’m not sure.

Just did some investigating. It is a Cattle Egret. Wish I’d known sooner cause ‘egret’ would have lent itself to ‘regret’ in my poem. Oh well…

This is interesting. I didn’t know there were different Egret versions.

So it’s just called an egret…ill have to check to see if egrets are herons?

Yes, egrets are herons and your model is a cattle egret but i think it also goes by other names.

I was going to ask if you knew what kind of bird it might be. Very pretty. Great shot!

Oh wow. I first heard of Egrets when I used to do crossword puzzles many moons ago. I’ll have to Google them now. Thx
